Pedro Alquizar, DMD

Dr. Alquizar is a caring person who loves to spend time chairside with his patients. He finds it rewarding to be able to help patients of all ages achieve and maintain beautiful, functional smiles. He believes that straight teeth are important for daily life, not only for the obvious aesthetic benefits, but also because straight teeth are healthier since they are easier to clean.

His philosophy of treatment emphasizes the effects of orthodontic treatment on the facial features, and utilizing his scientific knowledge as well as his artistic sense to design a wonderful smile for each patient, while providing excellent bite function.

Dr. Alquizar received his Doctor in Dental Medicine degree from Temple University, where he obtained numerous honors. Among them was the induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the Arthur W. Gage Award to the senior student with the highest average in the senior examinations, and the award for greatest accomplishment from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

Dr. Alquizar completed his three-year orthodontic specialty training at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he also earned a Master in Medical Sciences degree for research and training in the field of Oral Biology and a Certificate in Clinical Orthodontics and teaching. During his residency training at Harvard, He received ample training in orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic treatment for children and adults, with the most modern and scientifically based principles in orthodontic technology. Dr. Alquizar also worked as a general dentist for the U.S. Department of Labor in Massachusetts for two years.

Dr. Alquizar is a highly qualified orthodontist who enjoys teaching as an attending orthodontic instructor at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He has two wonderful children. Dr. Alquizar’s favorite activities are playing drums, reading, learning new languages, and deep-sea fishing.

Dr. Romero

Dr. Romero was born and raised in Cuba. She completed her dental education at University of Havana. 

Dr Romero attended Florida International University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating with honors. She worked as an orthodontic dental assistant while finishing her requirements. She attended University of Florida College of Dental Medicine where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, being the only Hispanic woman among the four top students of her class. Dr. Romero worked as a General Dentist in Miami for three years and then moved to NYC for her Orthodontic training. Dr Romero is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). 

For Dr. Romero, being an orthodontist is not only a professional dream that came true but also a genuine source of personal satisfaction. She loves her patients and the long-term relationship that she establishes with them during treatment. For Dr. Romero “Ortho is fun, challenging and rewarding…all at the same time. It’s truly a privilege being able to give others the gift of a beautiful smile”.


Dr. Romero is a lucky wife and the mother of two lovely boys. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys photography, music, dancing, and “cafecito” after lunch.

Jorge Landa, DMD

Born in Miami, Dr. Landa attended Belen Jesuit High School.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Biomedical Science from the University of Miami. Following his undergraduate studies, he obtained his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his time at Tufts, Dr. Landa performed an internship at the VA through the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Landa continued his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University in Boston. Notably, his research in palatal expanders and the developing airway was published in The Archives of Pediatric Dentistry, among other journals. Additionally, Dr. Landa is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

In addition to treating patients in Kendall, Dr. Landa serves as the Chief of the Department of Dentistry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He is Invisalign certified and trained in dental laser surgery.

When not in the office, he and his wife enjoy life’s adventures alongside their amazing daughters and their bulldog. Dr. Landa is also a diehard Miami sports fan. He loves the beach, spending time outdoors, and trying to perfect his cooking skills.

Andre Ledoux, DMD

Dr. Andre Ledoux is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon that practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including trauma, pathology, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ledoux is a licensed expert in both inpatient and outpatient general anesthesia for pediatric and adult patients. 

A native of Southern Louisiana, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school as a medic and surgical technologist, serving five years on active duty and another three years in the reserves. During this period, he also graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, magna cum laude.

Dr. Ledoux earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University, also serving as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve during that period. He returned to active-duty service in 2010 and completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Womack Army Medical Center and two fellowships at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, training under Dr. Robert Marx, in maxillofacial tumor and reconstructive surgery and in microvascular and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Ledoux maintains a robust inpatient surgical practice as part of the head and neck oncologic surgery team at Baptist Health South Florida.
